Central Valley Physicians for Humanitarian Aid (CVPHA) invites you to join us at the Walk for Syrian Refugees, an event that aims to raise awareness of and funds for the people whose lives have been affected by the war in Syria. This year's walk benefits the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS), an organization that brings medical care and humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees and internally displaced people in Syria, the surrounding countries of the Middle East and in Europe.

This event consists of a 2.2 mile community walk starting at the Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno and heading to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno, then returning to the Islamic Center where participants will partake in a traditional Arabic breakfast, listen to speakers and engage in various activities.

This is a special opportunity to learn about the Syrian refugee crisis and to actively reach out to and assist those in need.
