FIRM and Syrian Refugees FIRM has served the refugees in Fresno for 23 years. The organization has mostly served the Southeast Asian, Ukrainian and African refugee communities, but now has a Syrian refugee program. This presentation will briefly discuss FIRM's history, but will focus mostly on the Syrian refugees and the new work the organization does with our new neighbors.

Mike Firpo of First Tee Fresno The First Tee of Fresno offers youth development programs, which focus on developing life skills using the game of golf as its vehicle. The minimum age to join weekly Life-Skills classes is 7 years old. As long as a child turns 7 during the current programming session (season), they can register.
Steve Mulligan Mosquitoes in Fresno

The Consolidated Mosquito Abatement District was established to promote community health, comfort and prosperity by the effective and continuous control of disease-carrying and pest mosquitoes. To accomplish this mission, the District utilizes an integrated mosquito management approach by conducting surveillance of mosquitoes and mosquito-borne diseases; controlling mosquitoes with suitable insecticides, natural predators and eliminating mosquito producing sources; and promoting public awareness.
